Calling all first years! Each year ITW offers First-year Adventure Trips to beautiful destinations across California before the school year starts and we want YOU to join us! Adventure trips are a great way to get to know new students and explore the outdoors! These trips run the week before school begins. ITW will take care of the food, group gear, permits, and transportation. Backpacks, headlamps, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads are available to rent through the club for a $50 deposit. If you have your own gear, feel free to bring it!
Skill levels of the trips will range from beginner backpacking (no prior experience necessary) to advanced backpacking (prior backpacking experience highly recommended). Look out for more information on the University’s website in June. These trips are highly competitive, so you want to sign up right when the tickets go live.
Thanks to generous grants in the past, adventure trips are free to all incoming students.
