We typically run at least one day trip and one overnight trip every weekend, so there are plenty of opportunities to get outdoors!
Week 4 Day Trips
Beginner Sunset Polar Plunge
Whaddup Wildings!!
Who is ready for the chillest pancakes and polar plunge ever! This Thursday, get ready to Jack Johnson max with Harry and Cole. We’re gonna be lowering our cortisol with good vibes, cold water, guitar, and pancakes.
Tickets are $5, we will leave at 5pm on Thurs and be back around 7:30.
ITW x Surf Club Intermediate Surfing Day Trip
GETTTTTTTT STOKED BRONCOS!!
Are you ready to shed those midterm stresses away and shred the day away with us in Santa Cruz this Saturday?? Join Seaweed Shannon, Kelp Kenzie, & Phytoplankton Phoenix for an intermediate surf sesh collab with SCU’s amazing Surf Club! This trip is application-based, proficient swimming and surfing ability is required. We’ll start the day off around 7:30 am with bagels & muffins for the scenic drive over the hill, pull up to the break around 8, and start catchin waves. We can go wherever the ocean takes us & follow the swells, but we’ll aim to be back on campus around 1 pm. Bring some cash for a nice post-sesh breakfast burrito or coffee.
We know you’re out there Codyyyyy. This trip is gonna be a BLAST- we can feel it in our nuggets.

tUrn Collab Beginner Trip to Castle Rock
HEYOOOO TREE LOVERS!!!! Do you want to reconnect with nature this Sunday?? Join ITWxtUrn for a day trip to Castle Rock State Park! Nature Nory and Lookout Lucian will be leading this collab to the Greatest Of All Time overlook, Goat Overlook (wink wink). We’ll leave campus at 9am, hike a relaxed 2.5 miles, and be back around 1pm! This trip is a great way to get up and get out, AND to learn about how awesome tUrn is!!! Tickets will be $5!
Week 4 Overnight Trips
Aloha Lakes Intermediate Backpacking
Aloha, Wildings! Want to swap campus for granite peaks and alpine lakes? Hula Harry, Exotic Ellie, and Lūʻau Leanna are taking you to Lake Aloha in Desolation Wilderness for an overnight backpacking trip. Yes, we know the names are a lot. We're committing to the bit.
Saturday: We meet at the Bronco Statue at 6:00 AM and leave at 6:15. Yes, that's early. Yes, it's worth it. We'll eat a big breakfast at Echo Lakes, then hit the trail for 7 miles and 2,000 ft of climbing to camp. We'll stop for snacks and water, stare at mountains, and keep a steady group pace, so nobody gets left behind. At camp, we'll set up, eat a hot Peak Refuel dinner, and hang out under the stars with good vibes and good food.
Sunday: Wake up around 7 or 8 for a real breakfast, pack up camp, and hike the 7 miles back. We'll have snacks the whole way, and we'll stop for dinner on the drive home to celebrate surviving.
Heads up: This is an intermediate trip. You'll carry a loaded pack for 7 miles each day over uneven terrain, so don't show up in Converse. Bring supportive hiking shoes, trail snacks, water, and a good attitude.
Cost: $70, which covers transportation, food, permits, and group expenses.

Intermediate Lassen Volcanic Car Camping
Who's ready for an fall weekend get away to Lassen Volcanic National Park?!
If you’re looking for beautiful fall colors, gorgeous lakes, and wild mountain views, then join Lava Liv and Lithosphere Lucas for a Intermediate Car Camping trip! We’ll be hitting the road Saturday at 6:00 am sharp and driving ~4.30 hours to our campground. We will eat some delicious grub before heading out on a 8mi hike along lakes, hot springs, and mountains. After our long day of exploring a real active volcano we’ll end the night with a campfire. On Sunday we’ll get up, do a quick polar plunge in the lake, and head on back home. Tickets will be $81.

Garfield Sequoia Grove Intermediate Backpacking
Do you hate Mondays, love naps, and appreciate peak literature !?!
If you do then you should Join Slasagna Sander, and Plasgna Paco on a Garfield themed intermediate backpacking trip through Sequoia National Park. Our expedition will commence at 7:30am Saturday 10/21 and sleaze a 5 hour drive to the trailhead. We’ll be lazily meandering through some stupendously massive sequoia trees for a total of 12 miles and ~3,000 ft of elevation gain over two days. We shall feast upon lasagna and snacks under the shade of the sequoian giants. At night, we will cuddle up in our sleeping bags and listen to the tails of our facetious feline and his misadventures. We will be back at our beloved campus by 5:00 pm. Don’t miss out on a trip of a lifetime with other cartoon connoisseurs! This is an intermediate backpacking trip and tickets are $44.
Hello wonderful people!!! Join Spooky Sean, Eerie Erin, and Lurking Lucian for a weekend of beautiful fall colors, waterfalls, and an amazing orange fall colored Yosemite. Saturday morning, we’re leaving at 6:30 AM sharp to head to Yosemite for a 6-7ish-mile hike and some prime leaf peeping. Afterward, we’ll settle into camp for a delicious dinner with yummy smores to sum up our cozy night outdoors. Sunday, we’ll have breakfast, pack up, and head back to campus, arriving around 4pm.
